rainbow grammar: in action
Rainbow Grammar In Action is a chance to see skilled practitioners delivering high-quality, engaging Rainbow Grammar teaching to knowledgeable and enthusiastic children using Jason’s unique Rainbow Grammar approach.
Chetwynd Primary Academy, have consistently achieved remarkable English results over a number of years, using Rainbow Grammar to develop children’s understanding of how the English language works and apply this knowledge into exceptional creative writing.
Attendees will observe a Rainbow Grammar lesson of their choice from Year 1 to Year 6. No scripted and overly rehearsed lessons on show, attendees will see children grappling with new concepts and challenging learning, and how knowledgeable teachers use Rainbow Grammar effectively in real settings. Following the lesson, there will be a chance to discuss the lesson with the class teacher, look through children’s work and see how display and resourcing support’s children’s learning.
And Jason Wade, teacher, English consultant, creator of Rainbow Grammar and fully-fledged grammar geek, will deliver a Rainbow Grammar teaching masterclass to a class of children followed by a presentation of how Rainbow Grammar can better help your children to master the English language and become stronger writers.
New Rainbow Grammar Colour
Attendees will receive training in the brand-spanking new never-seen-before 9th Rainbow Grammar colour – silver!
Okay, it’s really grey (silver card is a nightmare on which to print), but this is new addition to the Rainbow Grammar family – the first in over five years – is sure to add depth to your children’s writing – particularly non-fiction (but can be used to great effect in fiction too).
You’ll see this new colour in action, as it will be taught during the Rainbow Grammar masterclass. You’ll practice using it yourself so you can get to grips with how it works. You will be shown how and where it fits into the Rainbow Grammar family of colours and how it can be used to great effect to improve writing. And you’ll receive the card template so you can use the new card in your lessons.
Oh, and you’ll get a sneak preview of the revised and improved Rainbow Grammar curriculum coming in September 2019.
